Paul Edgar Personal Trainer

 

Hello, I’m Paul Edgar and I’m the creator of the 12-Minute VIP Body Plan and author of Fit For Women, the 7-step complete fitness and nutrition life plan for busy mums and business women.

Here I answer questions you may want to ask before working with me.

How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be a Personal Trainer?

  • I started life in the fitness industry back in the 1990s when being persuaded by a dozen women to do an exercise to music qualification! Since then, I’ve never looked back.
  • I love to teach and I love to see people achieving their health and fitness goals.
  • I became a Personal Trainer in 2008.


Who are your clients?

  • Women over 25 who struggle with losing weight, are unhappy with their body shape or can’t fit into their favourite clothes. Typically, they can’t find the time to exercise or aren’t getting results in the gym and have tried many diets which haven’t worked and now don’t know where to turn.
  • I do have some male clients and can train corporate/small businesses.


What happens if you haven’t yet worked with people in my field?

  • If you’re a woman over 25, then that fits my target client range but I’m happy to look at working with people outside of that remit.


How are you different from other Personal Trainers?

  • I’m different because I specifically work with women over 25 so that gives me a massive advantage over other generic Personal Trainers.
  • I therefore know how women over 25 think and feel about weight loss, motivation, confidence, food, exercise, lifestyle and so on. Experience counts for a lot.


What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

  • I always offer a free consultation (chat if you like) to see if we could work together. Obviously, you have to feel comfortable working with a Personal Trainer but I’m friendly and easy going so I’m sure it would work ok.
  • To get the BEST results, you would be expected to follow my advice and guidance throughout your time spent with me. This means following my eating plans, workouts at home, reading my handouts and more. However, I’m not a sergeant major type so I’m lenient at times!


What packages do you offer and what exactly is your 12-Minute VIP Body Plan and what does it include?

  • There are various options available – please see my website Home page for details of the packages available.
  • Basically, my packages are 3-month and 5-week Personal Training packages, a 5-week Group Programme and a Wedding package. I call all of the packages the 12-Minute VIP Body Plan as I base all of my workouts on 12 minute routines and I added the ‘VIP’ bit as I think it’s important that you feel special at the end of whichever package you choose.


Does this really work?

  • Yes! My methods have worked EVERY time so far provided you follow the rules.

What results can I expect?

  • In 3 months, expect to lose between 1 to 2 stone in weight and keep it off for life (for best results, it is advised to follow an initial 5-week detox eating plan followed by a low GI eating plan).
  • In 5 weeks, expect to lose up to 1 stone in weight (possibly even more) and keep it off for life (for best results, it is advised to do a 5-week detox eating plan, however a low GI eating plan option is available).
  • Drop between 1 to 2 dress sizes.
  • Lose inches from your hips, waist and thighs.
  • Improve your body shape.
  • See a visible difference in days.
  • Increase your energy levels.
  • Feel fitter and healthier than ever before.
  • Gain massive self-confidence.


How quickly can I expect results?

  • See above but you will feel benefits usually within 3-4 days provided you follow the rules.
  • I have to say here that I DO NOT endorse diets so very quick weight loss is definitely not my thing as it’s not sustainable and you’ll end up putting the weight back on in the long run. You want healthy weight loss but you also want it for life.


Can I contact some of your current or former clients to see what it’s like to work with you?

  • Yes, definitely. I’ll obviously need to check that they are ok for you to get in touch but I see no problems.


How can you guarantee I will get results?

  • I offer a guarantee that, if at the end of your programme, you have not achieved any positive result, I will work with you at my cost until you get a positive result. However, you must have followed the rules.


How will we work together?

  • I offer home visits, outdoors in local parks, access to a Newcastle city centre gym (which I can hire) or at your work place.


How long are your programmes?

  • Initially, either 3 months or 5 weeks then you decide if you want to continue to work with me. If you decide you want to continue, there is an ongoing monthly maintenance programme.


What is the most popular programme?

  • Right now, my 5-week programmes.


What payment methods do you currently take?

  • I currently take cash, cheque, bank transfer or card payments via Paypal. Split payments are also available.

  • I offer low-cost outdoor small group sessions in Newcastle or you can attend my 5-week Group Programme in either Jesmond or Belmont.
