What am I talking about, I hear you say?
Well, the journey refers to both of us. My business journey, which started in February 2010, and is hoping to gather pace in the near future; and your journey, which starts when you decide that you’re ready – once you are ready, I can help.
If you follow my emails, newsletters and blog posts, you’ll know that I’m a Personal and Group Fitness Trainer. Saying that though, that sounds rather formal. I like to think of myself as a Lifestyle Coach because I don’t just offer fitness training. I offer nutritional advice plus many other aspects of health.
Did you know that my family said I should get a ‘proper job’ back in 2010?! Ha, well I didn’t and I’m glad because I really want to help people and working for the local council just didn’t work for me in the end.
So here I am in 2014, nearly 2015!
I’ve dabbled with different projects and now I’m starting a new venture. You’ve probably heard about it!!
I have acquired a small studio in Newcastle – a short walk from the city centre – where I can offer small group training and personal training as well as nutritional workshops, demos, and much more.
I want to create an environment where women in Newcastle can go along, exercise, feel welcome, and work alongside like-minded women. I want to make it a place that women think of as the first place to go before any corporate gyms or slimming groups.
I know it will be hard for me but I’m determined and I’m going to really push this project so that I can really help you.
I need your help.
Yes, of course I do. You don’t want to see me heading back into the local council again do you???
I’m sure you don’t!
What I will offer in the first instance is a mixed timetable of classes ranging from kettlebells, bodyweight exercises, boxing and circuits plus weekly weigh-ins and fitness tests.
I will also offer morning classes, something I haven’t done before. So if you’re dropping your kids at school, why not pop along to my morning sessions?
[Here’s a side fact: Did you know that women use the terms ‘pop’ and ‘nip’ a lot more than men? “I’m just popping to the shops” or “I’m just nipping out” – a useless fact there!!!]
I want to get you to start eating more healthily too so I will be organising some food tasting events, smoothie demos, etc plus handing out my recipe plans and meal guides.
Let’s make this the place to be.
So, here’s what you can do for me. Just spread the word. That’s it!
If you let one or two women know I exist, that would be fantastic. It won’t cost you anything to do that and I will be very grateful.
If you know someone who may be interested in getting fit, here’s a link to register for my group classes:
